This list just wouldn’t be complete without bats. Ever hear the expression, “blind as a bat”? Well, the expression is a bit misleading. Bats aren’t actually blind. But some species, the ones who have to hunt at night, have developed echolocation to help them find food – that is, they bounce sound waves off of things in their paths. This helps them find food and fly around without bumping into stuff. Wouldn’t that come in handy when you have to get up in the middle of the night to go pee?
